
Senior Team Leader/Team Leader
Responsibilities:
Team leaders must supervise and assist with homework, as well as follow the daily schedule unless the Site Director instructs differently.
Create, plan, conduct, maintain and implement a variety of fun, enriching and engaging activities and recreational activities that must be developmentally appropriate and align with STEAMS monthly themes for groups; continually interacting with children, volunteers, staff, and parents
Lead and supervise small and large groups by recognizing potential issues and applying established program procedures and problem-solving methods as needed
Observe students' behavior, assess its appropriateness and apply appropriate behavior management techniques, positive redirection, or appropriate corrective action as necessary to support members in making positive behavior choices
Accurately complete and submit timecards, incident reports, rosters, and other program related materials in accordance with program policy
Attend scheduled staff meetings, training, and development activities
Create and maintain an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for students.
Identify students and staff needs and communicate this to the Site Director
Team leaders must maintain cleanliness in all program areas to contribute to ongoing maintenance to keep the school or community site clean and orderly
Assist with the setup and breakdown each day
Maintain accurate attendance rosters with roll calls and continuous group counts β administering mandatory roll calls minimally at every rotation, before and after snack
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff, public officials, private sector officials, parents, and community leaders
Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Working knowledge of developmental needs of school age children

Handle all conflicts and complaints in a professional manner as well adhere to all organizational site policies and procedures

Immediately reporting and documenting all injuries or incidents that occur on site
Maintain cleanliness in all program areas to contribute to ongoing maintenance to keep the school or community site clean and orderly

Frequently stand, walk, stoop, sit, crouch, bend, speak, and hear
Engage in physical activity with members without limitation
Lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects between 10 and 20 pounds
Maintain computer proficiency and posses strong oral and written communication skills
Be reliable and punctual by arriving on-time for scheduled shifts and completing assigned responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and school officials
Requirements:
Associates Degree preferred not required or 2 years in college
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong Math and English skills (K-12)
Strong verbal, oral, written communication skill
Must pass GBI comprehensive criminal background check and fingerprinting and maintain for employment
Must complete 10 hours of State-approved Health and Safety Orientation Training
Must be First Aid and CPR certification
At least 1 years of experience working with youth in a classroom or after school setting
Must complete 10 hours of Bright from the start training
Bilingual-preferred not required
